“We’ve got feeding covered!”; Skip Hop’s Faye Anderson

One of the most essential sectors for preschool products is feeding, with all manner of new product designed to make the process a bit easier. Preschoolnews.net spoke to Faye Anderson, marketing associate at Skip Hop, to find out more.

How important is the feeding and weaning category to your business?

“We believe in products that simplify life while enabling child development, driving independence and fostering imagination. Our ZOO range puts the fun in functional – providing toddler mealtime and on-the-go essentials with friendly-faced characters little ones love. We’ve got feeding covered!”

Do you think that, as a sector, it is becoming more of a focus recently – and if so, why?

“Feeding has always been a part of our product range, but it’s developed recently to provide more innovative designs for new modern parents. Constantly on-the-go parents need convenient ways to store food and snacks.”

How has the healthy eating trend filtered into baby and toddler food? Has it changed the way the category works?

“Parents want to ensure their children have their best start in life and getting a healthy balanced diet is just part of that. Finding creative ways to serve up tasty (yet nutritious) treat for kids means parents are always looking for products that work a long side this, such as our new Smart Serve Non-Slip bowl set which allows parents to store tasty leftovers in an easy compactible way for another day.”

How important is it that product appeals to both children and adults?

“Parents look for the helpful features to make day-to-day living easier, such as less mess, easy storage and dishwasher safety. Children want fun engaging products that encourage them to learn and develop feeding independence. When products perform well, parents and kids can embrace their shared journey with ease.”

What is your hero product for 2019? Do you have any new launches in the pipeline?

“Our ZOO Insulated Food Jar keeps food warm for seven hours or cold for five hours so there’s no need for extra cooling storage or finding somewhere to heat food. Our award-winning Smart Serve range has also just been expanded, so that’s a focus at the moment as well.”
