Weebles to return to Toy Fair courtesy of Character Options

Weebles, the iconic egg-shaped characters which first launched in the 1970s with the slogan ‘Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down’, will be returning to Toy Fair this week courtesy of Character Options.

The new wobbly collection will launch later this month and will feature preschool licence Peppa Pig. Aimed at children aged 18 months+, the range will see Peppa and her friends reimagined as Weebles figures, designed with the instantly recognisable Peppa iconography.

There will be eight characters to collect, as well as multi-figure packs, plus the Wind and Wobbly House play-set. There will also be vehicle sets including the Push-along Wobbly Car and the Pull-along Wobbly Train.

Character Options is also in negotiations to bring Bluey, CoComelon and My Little Pony themed Weebles to retail this autumn.

“We are delighted to be relaunching the heritage brand Weebles,” commented Mark Hunt, marketing director at Character Options. “Its iconic branding is highly recognisable amongst parents, and we believe introducing top preschool licenses such as Peppa Pig, Bluey and CoComelon figures that wobble but don’t fall down, is a play pattern that perfectly aligns with the target age group.

“We have extensive marketing support in place for the brand, with TV, YouTube Pre-roll and PR campaigns ready to go, we can’t wait to showcase the collection in London in person to retail buyers.”
