A clever weaning device, a travel system subscription service, a nursery cooling system and a syringe adaptor have all been selected for the Baby Products Association’s 2019 Concept & Innovation Awards finalists list.
The four innovators have now been invited to attend Harrogate International Nursery Fair, which takes place from 23 – 25 March 2019, to present their product ideas to the UK nursery industry.
A panel of industry experts came together in London earlier this month to judge the shortlisted entries first-hand. After much deliberation the product ideas considered the most viable and innovative were chosen as finalists.
Visitors attending HINF can see these finalists first hand at the dedicated area at the show in Hall Q. They include:
- Dorota Dyk with Medapti – a simple, but clever adaptor to safely and easily administer medicine to a baby using a standard infant syringe.
- Eleonora Fois with Otto the Octopus – a weaning device to help young babies learn to chew and explore new food experiences with less mess and with a reduced risk of choking.
- Richard Shaw with JRNY – an innovative new subscription-based travel system with interchangeable
components to allow it to grow with your child. - Christopher Melia with Cot Cool – a high tech cooling system to lower the temperature in a baby’s sleep environment on particularly hot days.
The awards are once again sponsored by law firm 3Volution. The winner of the Concept & Innovation Award – which will be announced on Monday 25 March at the show – will receive free IP legal advice to help them with the complexities of launching their product to market.
