Trends UK celebrating Little Brian success

Awareness of Paint Sticks brand has also spread internationally over past 12 months.

Trends UK and Wind Designs are celebrating a strong start for the Little Brian Paint Sticks brand in the UK – while the brand owner has also confirmed that international awareness is also on an upward trajectory.

The companies were appointed to look after retail sales of the brand in the UK and Ireland last year.

The core top selling product is the Classic 12 pack, while a 24 Assorted Pack (featuring the 12 classic colours as well as six metallic and six day-glo colours) was introduced ahead of Christmas 2017.

New launches include Fabric Paint Sticks which can be used on a range of different materials, while Mini Paint Sticks and Chalk Sticks are also due to launch this year.

“Sales have been strong for the Paint Sticks ranges throughout the year, but we’ve seen particular spikes in buying linked to popular holidays and seasonal demand,” said Lindsay Hardy, marketing director at Trends UK. “When children have gone to back to school, we have seen a rise in sales for the Classic Paint Sticks whilst the Metallic Paint Sticks were a huge hit for bonfire night and in the run up to the Christmas period.

“The pre-Christmas sales also saw a rise in sales across the Paint Sticks range. Six packs made a perfect stocking filler, while the new 24 Assorted Pack proved popular being released in the build up to Christmas.”

Little Brian’s Emily Griffiths believes that giving children the ability to create things and manipulate different materials is “extremely important in their development, improving creativity, physical dexterity and enabling children to express their feelings”.

Emily added: “As a result consumer demand for and consumption of creative play products continues to grow, which in turn has fuelled sales for our Paint Stick products.”
