Toy Trust unveils its Big Challenge fundraiser for 2022

The Toy Trust’s 2022 Big Challenge fundraising day for summer 2022 has been confirmed for Saturday 18 June and will be based at Oxford Wet N Wild in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

Dragon Boats for up to 10 rowers will be available with entries from full teams, individuals or small groups all welcomed. Individuals or smaller groups that wish to enter will be joined to form full boat teams. All boats will feature a drummer and qualified instructor. A minimum age of 16 is required to enter.

Each team, small group or whether entering as an individual will be required to nominate a team representative/captain who will be required to register/manage their team members.

Participants with younger family members are welcome to join the walking events.

The event day will include a BBQ lunch with refreshments with family friendly games and activities available on site. All participants will receive a commemorative event t-shirt.

Funds raised through the Big Challenge will support Toy Trust’s nominated UK-based charities throughout 2022, with particular emphasis given to charities that work to improve and enhance children’s mental health.

“This year’s Big Challenge promises to be a new and exciting event for all of the industry to get involved in,” commented Graham Canning, committee chairman of the Toy Trust. “We have designed the event to be as inclusive, challenging and fun for as many people as possible, with the hope that people from across the industry will get involved. I am sure this year’s Dragon Boat Tournament will be a great hit for the industry to get involved in.

“As always, we hope to encourage new teams, however big or small, to get involved in what has become an amazingly uplifting and fun, team building day that raises massive amounts of money for the disadvantaged children the Toy Trust supports.”

Places are available at £100 per person and teams or individuals can register interest by clicking here, with full registration forms to follow shortly.
