Thomas & Friends steams in to back Children in Need

Characters get their Pudsey ears on to back this year’s campaign.

Donations to this year’s BBC Children in Need appeal raised over £50 million on Friday night (November 16), with preschool characters from Thomas & Friends lending their support, too.

The characters donned their Pudsey ears as part of the campaign’s ‘Get Your Ears On’ digital and social media initiative. This saw celebrity supporters putting their Pudsey ears on and encouraging members of the public to do the same.

Thomas & Friends joined the likes of Wallace & Gromit, Mr Men, Bagpus and Danger Mouse by taking part.

The campaign ran throughout November up until the appeal night on Friday.

Kelly Philp, UK marketing lead, commented: “We were delighted to support BBC Children in Need this year. It’s such a great cause and we hope the Thomas & Friends video encouraged awareness for the charity and lots of selfies.”
