Building on 2023’s successful May Mayhem fundraiser, The Toy Trust has unveiled plans for its big 2024 fundraising initiative.
Taking place across the months May, June and July under the banner of Midsummer Mayhem, the challenge invites members of the toy industry to collectively carry out any form of fundraising that they wish, from anywhere in the UK at a time that suits them. The initiative has the possibility of continuation later into the year to allow for even more people to get involved if necessary.
Activities can be chosen by companies and individuals – and there are a range of fundraising ideas to help get teams started on the official website.
The Toy Trust has also partnered with Run for Charity which has helped to secure places in a range of unique challenge events this year. Activities include the Colchester Stampede 10k (a 10km run around Colchester Zoo), The Peak District Trek Challenge, Run Alton Towers or Thorpe theme park, as well as other national events and the ability to search for events in your region.
Midsummer Mayhem is designed to include all from within the toy industry, with non-physical challenges also encouraged as part of the summer of fundraising. The Toy Trust is encouraging people to get involved in any way that they can to help raise money for the many disadvantaged and disabled children in need they support throughout the year.
The event is free of charge to join, and you simply need to register your involvement on the Toy Trust’s event page.
As always, the event will aim to raise as much as possible for the Toy Trust, while encouraging the industry to have fun at the same time. The event offers ample opportunity for the toy industry to demonstrate its creativity by coming up with unusual challenges, modes of transport, fancy dress, etc.
