Independent childrenswear retailer The Pud Store has been putting its expansion plans into action with a new store, which officially opened last Saturday 11 May at Sheffield Crystal Peaks shopping centre.
Founded by Frances Bishop in 2014, the company now operates from four stores strategically placed across the north of England, in Mansfield, Newark, Doncaster and Sheffield.
The Pud Store, which was named Best Independent Preschool Apparel Retailer at the Progressive Preschool Awards 2017, specialises in past-season designer clothing for young children, with discounts of up to 80%. Sales are also made via the trading Facebook page, which currently has almost 18,000 members.
“We’re so pleased to have been able to open our fourth store in Sheffield,” said Frances. “We’ve put so much effort into making sure we had the right location and the right stock. It’s been quite an organic growth, so we know we already have an great customer base in this area. I’m so proud of my team as well, they all worked so hard to get the store ready for the opening and it was a huge success. Now the hard work really begins!”
Also new for the company is a partnership with pram company Mee-Go, which saw a Pud Price family pram range launching in all four stores on Monday 20 May.
“I love the Mee-go pram range,” Frances added. “It’s a fabulous product at a great price.”
