Teletubbies ready for first ever live Christmas show

Show at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland will run from November 23 to January 6.

The Teletubbies will be spreading festive cheer this year at Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, with the brand’s first ever live Christmas show.

DHX Brands is teaming up with Fierylight, IMG and Zippos Circus to bring Tubbyland to life off the screen at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, which is the UK’s biggest Christmas destination.

The special 45-minute production will run daily in the MegaDome at 11am from November 23 until January 6.

“Live events continue to be a particularly strong draw for fans of the Teletubbies, and between the live-show tour in the UK and the popular mini-shows at Butlins resorts, we’ve seen fantastic engagement,” said Tom Roe, commercial director at DHX Brands.

“We’re excited to be rounding off the year with our first-ever live Christmas show at one of London’s premier holiday events, and for the Teletubbies to share in the magic of the holidays with children and families.”

Stephen Flint Wood, svp and md of arts and entertainment events at IMG, added: “We are delighted to be hosting the Teletubbies for the first time in a new live show. This is just one of many exciting new attractions coming to London’s ultimate Christmas experience, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.

“Watching Teletubbyland come to life will be a dream come true for little ones and we encourage families to book in advance due to the anticipated popularity.”

Founder and director of Zippos Circus, Martin Burton, continued: “Teletubbies will be the perfect complement to the line-up of shows we’re producing in the Zippos Circus Megadome to appeal to audiences of all ages, from morning to night.”

Now in its 12th year, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland has become a must-attend event for Londoners and tourists alike, attracting over three million visitors each year.
