The awards are each based on one of the pups from hit preschool show, PAW Patrol.
Spin Master UK is celebrating the culmination of its second year of running the PAW Patrol Little Heroes PAW Awards.
The awards – each based on the heroic pups from the Nick Jr. TV animation produced by Spin Master Entertainment – champion children who deserve to be recognised for the challenges they have faced and how they have touched the lives of others.
With a host of new partners on board – including the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge and Hamleys – the 2019 awards launched in the spring, inviting nominations from parents and carers around the UK.
There was an increase of over 150% in entries over the inaugural year, with the panel of judges including representatives from Spin Master, Nickelodeon, Hamleys and Rainbow Productions, as well as kids’ TV presenter Nigel Clarke.
The eight winners were invited to London and presented with their awards at an exclusive ceremony generously hosted by The Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, where they enjoyed a two-night luxury stay.
During the ceremony, the children received their trophies, medals and certificates from Nigel and Naomi Wilkinson who kindly lent her support. The two-hour celebration included treats such as face painting and balloon modelling, plus party games including the famous Pup Pup Boogie with two of the pups.
They were then invited to an exclusive VIP shopping event at Hamleys, where they met more PAW Patrol characters and stars who turned out to help celebrate the children’s achievements.
“We are thrilled at the success of the awards and it’s incredibly rewarding to be involved in such a positive and uplifting activity,” said Charlotte Yates, marketing manager at Spin Master UK, who sat on the judging panel. “We are already looking forward to the PAW Patrol Little Heroes PAW Awards 2020, and doing it all over again.”
