Small Stuff closes bricks and mortar store

The ethical indie children’s lifestyle store has closed the doors of its Crookes store, and moved its operations to online only.

Small Stuff, winner of the Best Independent Gift Retailer award at the Progressive Preschool Awards 2021, announced its decision to close the store on Crookes high street, on its Facebook page earlier this month.

The post said: “It’s safe to say 210 Crookes has been a beautiful delight, a haven for so many and an absolute dream to run. We’ve definitely had our fair share of highs and lows (hi pandemic) but all I can say is that it’s been filled with so many amazing memories, beautiful moments and I’ve genuinely been blown away by the community support.”

In another post, owner Hellen Stirling-Baker said that the brand will be relaunching its website over the coming weeks, along with new commitments to sustainability and will also be announcing the direction the brand is heading in and opening up globally.
