Award-winning baby and toddler lifestyle brand Skip Hop has announced that it will be returning to Harrogate International Nursery Fair next month, after a number of years away.
Jon Tilley, Skip Hop’s UK country manager, made the announcement at Spring Fair, following a successful run of trade shows in the early part of 2020, including London Toy Fair, Spielwarenmesse and Spring Fair.
“We have re-signed for this year’s show for a number of reasons,” he commented. “The landscape of the nursery sector in the UK is changing, following the sad demise of Mothercare, but that obviously presents an opportunity for others in the market to capitalise upon. And many of those retailers will be heading to Harrogate, so we feel it will be beneficial for us to see those customers again and show them our portfolio of products.”
Jon went on to explain that Skip Hop offers a broad range of product, making it ideal for the independent market as they can keep the consumer engaged from newborn through to school age.
“We can start them with pre-birth products such as bath tubs and changing bags but our toys and accessories mean we can scale all the way through to toddlers and older, more independent children,” he added. “So what we can actually give the indies is a different range of products for their customers to buy while they are in the shop. And at pretty good margins as well!”
