Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, praised British business at the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards, as Rockit Rocker won the Department for Business & Trade Exporter of the Year Award.
Rockit’s latest award recognises successful British businesses which have achieved the highest and most sustainable levels of international growth through exporting products, services and solutions.
The ceremony featured the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt, as well as TV presenter, Naga Munchetty, and British actor, David Harewood.
Bristol-based Rockit Rocker fought off fierce competition to win the award. Matt Dyson, ceo, commented: “We started exporting our products from day one as we knew the Rockit Rocker was a unique product. We wanted to establish ourselves as far and wide as possible, as quickly as possible.
“We are a small team that work closely with our distributors all over the world and much of the credit should go to them. This award is a fantastic accolade – we are still pinching ourselves; especially as last year’s winner was Fever Tree.”
Sarah Austin, director of www.britishbusinessexcellenceawards.co.uk, added: ““If anyone has a little baby around the house, then these products have probably been recommended to you. The Rockit Rocker team have clearly and emphatically demonstrated sustainable export growth and a clear increase in revenues from overseas operations, making them worthy winners of the Department for Business & Trade Exporter of the Year Award.”
