Popular character from the 1970’s also given a voice for the first time thanks to new nursery rhyme.
Bandai UK is celebrating the successful relaunch of the hit 1970’s toy, Timber Tots.
However, the hero Magic Tree play-set – which first launched back in 1975 – has been given a modern twist, with youngsters able to hear the characters singing for the first time, with the release of the Timber Tots Nursery Rhyme.
The song – which can be downloaded through all of the main music platforms – is one of a number of investments being made in the retro preschool brand.
A new website – Timber Tots, Nature is Magic – hosts the full product range, story books and activity sheets, while there is also an active social media presence with content and competitions running across Facebook and Instagram.
Bandai will also be further expanding the collection of toys this year following the positive launch in 2020.
“We are so pleased to see investment being placed behind Timber Tots, especially after such a positive launch for us in 2020,” said Magali Clouzet, senior brand manager at Bandai UK. “The toys have a multi-generational appeal, from the nostalgic grandparents and parents to pure joy from preschoolers when they learn how to ‘pop’ open the Magic Tree and let their imaginations run wild.
“We are thrilled to be expanding on the collection of toys in 2021, that will not only engage little ones, but teach them about nature and the world around them. And what fun to have a song that helps bring the wonderful woodland characters to life.”
