Preschool, nursery, toy or gift retailers and buyers from across the UK have signed-up to log0in and be part of the online judging process, help decide this year’s finalists and winners for the Progressive Preschool Awards 2020.
The PPSA 2020 entry and judging process has become entirely digital in response to the COVID-19 restrictions, allowing retailers from a wider geographical area than normal to join the virtual judging panel and help decide the most impressive new products and ranges of the past year. “We’re very aware, of course, that a physically event may not happen this year, but as we have said from the start – there will be finalists and there will be winners – whether we can have a grand reunion or we become a digital event for 2020″ said Rob Willis, director and co-owner at Max Publishing which owns and organises the Progressive Preschool Awards.
“We’ve had a phenomenal level of products entered and the system our web development team built really is a preschool trade shop window,” said Jo Pilcher, advertising and sponsorship manager for Progressive Preschool magazine and awards. “It’s amazing that despite the challenges, retailers want to judge the industry’s top products and whilst we will desperately miss the physical judging day, the online system has meant that brands and products will still be recognised” Jo continued.
Judging is taking place at the time of writing via a record number of retail buyers.
