Marnie Millard has been appointed to the position at the eco-friendly babycare brand.
Formerly ceo of Vimto owner, Nichols, and president of the British Soft Drinks Association, Marnie is also chair of the board at Kidly, Marks Electrical Group and University Academy 92. She is also non-executive director at Belvoir Farm and Finsbury Food Group.
Marnie will take up the post immediately and will work with ceo Guy Fennell and his leadership team.
The appointment of its first non-executive chair is announced during a busy period for the brand, after it received a £4.25 million investment earlier this year from private equity firm, Maven Capital Partners, to help fund expansion in the UK and internationally.
Guy commented: “We’re truly looking forward to the invaluable experience Marnie will bring to the table and I am delighted to welcome her to the Pura family at this extremely exciting time in our journey.”
Marnie added: “Pura has a great team led by a determined, talented founder. Sustainable, disruptive and growth businesses are where I like to work, and Pura ticks all the boxes as well as being a certified B Corp.
“Similar to my roles at UA92, Marks Electrical and Kidly, I will be a major disruptor in a large traditional market, with large competitors, and I am looking forward to offering support as Pura scales up.”
