Progressive Preschool Awards 2021: The Marketing finalists are revealed

The six finalists for the marketing award in this year’s Progressive Preschool Awards have been unveiled, highlighting the campaigns which have made an impressive impact upon the preschool product and retail sector over the past 12 months.

The judging was carried out by a group of marketing experts, chaired by Richard Pink, md of Pink Key Licensing.

He was joined by Paul Godwin (PCG Consultants), Katie Gritt (Just Play), Georgina Dobie (Evolution PR), Amber Steventon (Azaria PR), Katie Rollings (Hasbro), James Marsh (B3 Media) and Louise O’Shea (License to PR).

“In any industry, it is important to take the time to celebrate the successes; the highs, the wins, the smiles and the positivity,” commented Amber Steventon, md of Azaria PR, which is the sponsor of the Marketing Award. “It is therefore Azaria’s absolute pleasure to be, once again, sponsoring the Best Marketing category at this year’s Progressive Preschool Awards.

“It was a delight to see some creative and engaging entries in what has been a tricky year for so many. My team and I very much look forward to celebrating with you all in a few weeks.”

The Marketing finalists are:

Acamar Films’ Bing Store launch – bringing extra festive sparkle to Bingsters for Christmas 2020, Acamar Films launched its first owned ecommerce store as part of its wider commitment to digital growth.

BBC’s Hey Duggee ‘Parenting in 2020 Badge’ campaign – inspired by the active parenting communities on Facebook during lockdown, the hit show created a Parenting in 2020 Badge. The original episode premiered on the Hey Duggee Facebook platform to celebrate and honour the Duggee parenting community during the global pandemic.

Green Sheep Group with Sleep Support Month by Snüz – running throughout the lockdown month of March 2021, the aim was to support and educate new parents in dealing with the challenges of sleep.

Green Sheep Group’s SnüzPod ‘Where Sleep Begins’ awareness campaign – running throughout June this year, the clever out of home and social campaign looked to put a smile on parents’ faces at a time when they need it most… when trying to get their little one off to sleep in the middle of the night.

Hasbro’s Unicef x PJ Masks Bedtime Heroes campaign – the subscription product aimed to help kids and parents have a more enjoyable bedtime experience with the help of their favourite heroes. It also gave kids the opportunity to become real life Bedtime Heroes with money raised from the subscriptions helping to transform the lives of children across the world who are most in need.

Hasbro’s National Children’s Gardening Week (NCGW) with Peppa Pig – the ‘oinktastic’ collaboration saw the preschool character join forces with Regatta Great Outdoors and Save the Children (STC) to support the Horticultural Trade Association’s (HTA) week-long family gardening promotion.
