The finalists for the Progressive Preschool Awards 2020 have been announced, with eight finalists in each of the product categories for the first time ever, reflecting the increased number of entries received via this year’s brand new online entry portal.
The winners will be revealed on the evening of Tuesday 12 November 2020, with sponsors currently in consultation about a safe but exciting plan as to how the industry will celebrate this year’s winners.
The product finalists were decided by a stellar panel of retail buyers, who cast their votes online this year. A wide range of retailers took part, from majors such as John Lewis, Bentalls, The Entertainer, Tesco and Toymaster to a host of independent specialists from across the country. One of the many enthusiastic judges was Dawn Burden from My Small World in Bath, who said she: “loved being part of this year’s judging… there are some clever designers out there!” and Lisa Rutherford of John Lewis who saw some “really great submissions.”
Rob Willis, director and co-owner at Max Publishing which owns and organises the Progressive Preschool Awards said: “It’s a true testament to the preschool sector that despite all the challenges we have faced this year, entry levels were higher than ever. As ever, we are hugely grateful to the retail judges who took the time to help us select the finalists and winners for this year. We can’t wait to reveal the winners in November!”
