Progressive Preschool Awards 2020 now open for online entries

The Progressive Preschool Awards 2020 are now open for entries, with this year’s entry and judging process moving entirely online in order to ensure an opportunity to maintain high entry and judging levels.

PrintA brand new website and online entry portal has been launched to act as the main hub for all Progressive Preschool Awards 2020 entries and judging for this year, in response to the logistical and safety concerns brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The easy-to-use website will allow all entries and judging to take place online – with the product, retail and  marketing awards all being managed via one portal before being judged by an independent panel of third-party experts.

This year perhaps more than ever, the preschool sector has been continuing to invent, innovative and thrive, making it crucial that suppliers and retailers still have the opportunity to be rewarded and recognised for their efforts over the past 12 months. As a well-established awards programme, the Progressive Preschool Awards will continue to celebrate excellence across both product and retail, with special awards also covering marketing initiatives and outstanding individual achievements.

All product categories will be judged by an extensive panel of retailers, while the retailer and marketing award categories will be assessed by a panel of industry experts, all making their decisions from the comfort of their own homes, shop floors or offices. The deadline for entering the product categories, nominating retailers and for retailers to self-nominate is Friday 31 July, 2020. Creating an account takes less than two minutes, whilst each entry also takes less than around five minutes.

Entry for the product awards continues to be as quick and easy as always – instead of sending in physical product, suppliers will simply need to sign up to the website and upload the relevant images and information for each range being entered. Entries remain completely free of charge and can be updated and amended right up until the closing date.

“This year’s Progressive Preschool Awards will continue to reflect the dynamic, innovative and vibrant preschool sector,” explained Rob Willis, director and co-owner at Max Publishing, which owns and organises the Progressive Preschool Awards. “This is especially important this year, after we have seen so many innovative and creative responses to the lockdown restrictions.”

He added: “While the situation continues to ease, we felt it was important to create a safe and secure method for suppliers and retailers to be able to enter this year’s awards, and with so many people still furloughed or working from home, it was clear that an online entering and judging process for this year would be the best solution.”

Now an essential date in the calendar for suppliers and retailers across toy, nursery, gift, apparel, publishing and licensing industries, the PPS Awards have become accolades to strive for, with the event itself bringing together the entire preschool sector for an afternoon of celebration.

The winners will be announced on the afternoon of Tuesday 3 November 2020 in the Ballroom of The Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Mayfair.
