Nearly 200 companies will be showing infant/preschool toys across the event’s four days.
This year’s Toy Fair New York kicks off on Saturday February 22, with a host of UK and international toy companies ready to showcase their new offerings for the preschool sector.
Running at the Jacob K Javits Convention Center until Tuesday February 25, the marketplace will be welcoming toy companies from six continents, showcasing their lines to around 30,000 industry professionals.
From an infant/preschool point of view, this category will be well represented across the show throughout the different product zones, Marian Bossard, evp of global market events at The Toy Association told PreschoolNews.net.
Indeed, almost 200 companies will be highlighting infant/preschool toys, according to Marian.
In addition, the Toy of the Year Awards includes a Preschool category, with all the winners being prominently displayed outside of the press centre at the show.
“Preschool properties and toys continue to be a big draw for Toy Fair retailers looking to attract young fanbases to their stores,” commented Marian. “Licensing executives who attend are there to form partnerships that will bring beloved characters and properties to life, thus opening the doors to new opportunities for toy manufacturers of all sizes.
“As the Western Hemisphere’s largest toy show in one of the most energetic cities on earth, Toy Fair New York is a not-to-be-missed event. Anyone who has been will tell you that they look forward to the marketplace all year.
“In addition to meeting with veteran toy brands, buyers attend the show to scout brand-new companies and products. The Launch Pad area of the show – reserved exclusively for first-time exhibitors – is a popular destination for those looking for the latest innovations in toys and play.”
