PPS Awards marks 10th anniversary with new venue and additional categories

The Progressive Preschool Awards is celebrating its tenth year in 2022 – marking the occasion with a move to a new, larger event space, adding a new Eco Award to the line-up and debuting a special logo.

PROGRESSIVE PRESCHOOL (10th Anni COLOUR) AWARDS 2022The popular event will take place on Tuesday 15 November at Royal Lancaster London (Hotel), Lancaster Gate, attended by all key executives across the toy, nursery, apparel and licensing sectors.

Since their inception, the awards have recognised and celebrated excellence across both product and retail, with special accolades also covering marketing and individual excellence.

This year, a number of changes have been made to the category line-up, giving further opportunities to celebrate the industry.

The Eco Award is a new addition for 2022 – the special accolade is for one product or range across all sectors in the 0-5 age range and will recognise and reward the credentials of a product/range on the sustainability front. The products need to be launched into UK retail between 7 July 2021 and 6 July 2022.

Meanwhile, the toy categories have been expanded, with accolades for Best Licensed Toy Range (12m+) and Best Non-Licensed Toy Range (12m+), while the mobility sector has also been strengthened with the introduction of Best Wheeled Goods and Best Car Seat.

All categories are now open for entries, with a closing date of 3 July 2022.

The PPS Awards are free to enter and all entries and nominations can be done online.

“It’s tremendously exciting to have reached our tenth year as the organiser of the industry’s awards; having lasted the test of time the event is now the focal point of trade awards in the sector,” commented Rob Willis, coo of Max Publishing which owns and organises the Progressive Preschool Awards. “We have worked with Royal Lancaster London for a very long time and already use the venue for other events and it is always an amazingly palatial experience for guests.

“As the event has sold out every year for the majority of the last decade, we look forward to being able to say ‘yes’ to everyone at what is, in my humble opinion, one of the best networking days in the year.”

The awards have already garnered support from a host of companies which are on board as sponsors. These are: Amscan International, Aykroyd & Sons, Azaria PR, BBC Studios, BTHA, Centum, Geomag, Harrogate International Nursery Fair, Hasbro, Ideas International, Jazwares, Joie, Misirli, Online4Baby, Paramount, Penguin, Poetic Brands, Rainbow Designs, Redan Publishing, Smiffys, The Insights Family, Toy Fair, Walker Books and WildBrain CPLG.
