Positive response for Spielwarenmesse BrandNew

New digital service showcasing toy sector trends and innovations gets over 55,000 visitors in first five days.

New digital service, Spielwarenmesse BrandNew has been met with a positive response from the toy industry following its debut on January 25.

The service – which focuses on this year’s innovations and trends in the toy sector – recorded 55,442 visitors and over 400,000 actions on the website in the first five days.

Companies were also active on social media channels, promoting their products to the international market.

“In our role as the industry’s largest global network, we’re delighted to be able to offer a valuable service even during the pandemic,” commented Ernst Kick, ceo of Spielwarenmesse eG. “Spielwarenmesse BrandNew was warmly received by the sector and is still attracting widespread attention.”

The format showcased everything from start-ups through to major players across the toy space. More than 300 companies from around the world are currently presenting over 4,000 new and further developments on the site, with visitors able to see product descriptions, images, video material and contacts.

Kate Scott, marketing and business development manager at Holo Toyz from Ireland, commented: “As a new business, Spielwarenmesse BrandNew helped us to reach an audience we would never have reached under the circumstances. Thank you so much to the whole team who pulled BrandNew together this year.”

Spielwarenmesse BrandNew can be accessed on the website free of charge until the end of April. “This enables us to shorten the wait until the physical Spielwarenmesse this summer which, in spite of the success of the digital format, remains absolutely indispensable,” Ernst added.
