Nick Jr., TOMY, Acamar Films, Sylvanian Families, Trends UK among those taking part on Saturday August 29.
Following on from the success of the inaugural event in May, virtual family festival Play at Home Fest is returning this weekend.
Families worldwide will be able to join the event, designed to bring play back to families during 2020’s summer of cancelled live entertainment, throughout the day on Saturday August 29, with two virtual stages being streamed live.
Preschool names taking part in the virtual event include Nick Jr. with PAW Patrol and Blue’s Clues and You, plus Acamar Films, Dreamtex and HarperCollins with Bing and Rainbow with 44 Cats.
Epoch’s Sylvanian Families, TOMY, Aquabeads and The Essential One will also be involved, along with Little Brian Paint Sticks from Trends UK.
The first Play at Home Fest accrued a 71,000 views and was streamed into the homes of 14,000 families, with social media impressions reaching 750,000 on Good Play Guide channels alone.
“We were blown away by the success of the first Play at Home Fest, and it was a no-brainer to bring families together again for more fun during this period when playful experiences are needed more than ever,” commented Amanda Gummer, founder and ceo of Dr Gummer’s Good Play Guide, which organises the event.
“I’m really pleased to have been able to support some amazing brands during a period when marketing and promotion has been particularly difficult, while also bringing fun and play to the forefront for consumers. The calibre of the acts signed up again for this weekend’s event shows just how beneficial this initiative has been for all involved.”
Other brands and companies involved will include Kid Kreations’ fashion doll brand, DesignaFriend Sisi Doll – which is one of Argos’ top toys for Christmas – plus Geomag, Aardman and EasyRead Time Teacher.
