The world famous FAO Schwarz toy store in New York City was transformed into a Paddington paradise to tie in with the arrival of the Paddington in Peru movie in the US.
As part of the grand activation, the iconic store featured a Paddington-filled ‘swing shop’ and an eye-catching movie-branded window display taking over the front and sides of the iconic building.
The branded pop-up inspired by Paddington’s Peruvian roots and filled with orange trees features Paddington products from apparel and accessories to toys, plush and stationery.
A private ‘Breakfast with Paddington’ event was held inside the store last week before it opened to the public, welcoming family influencers and bloggers to a morning of Paddington-themed treats, face painting, goodie bags and a custom photo op with the character.
A special appearance by Paddington in Peru star Emily Mortimer also added to the magic, as she posed for photos with the guests to support the activation.
Following the event, families were shuttled to an early screening of the film. The event garnered healthy attention, with family influencers reaching a combined audience of over 15 million followers.
