New Teletubbies episodes bounce onto screens

Tubby Playdate campaign and Teletubbies Playground Pals app also set to launch.

A raft of activity is set to take place to coincide with the launch of ten new Teletubbies episodes on CBeebies.

The episodes will bounce onto the channel and CBeebies iPlayer from June 4. DHX Brands is backing these up with a national UK campaign entitled Tubby Playdate, spanning digital media, editorial and influencer marketing.

The Tubby Playdate campaign promotes the value of play among little ones and encourages their families to get their children playing with others.

Featured in the integrated campaign is a two-week takeover of popular parenting website UKMumsTV, a blogger outreach campaign and a feature interview with leading research psychologist Dr. Amanda Gummer, who will share her top ten tips on hosting a playdate.

To support the Tubby Playdate campaign, DHX Brands has teamed up with Biba and launched Teletubbies Playground Pals, an innovative and fun new app for preschoolers that encourages them to get active and play outdoors.

The app is now available to download for all iOS and Android devices.

“We are delighted that new episodes of Teletubbies are airing on CBeebies with even more dancing, singing and fun for children and families to enjoy,” said Charlotte Hill, global brand director at DHX Brands. “Teletubbies continues to perform very well across all platforms.

“We are confident children will love these new episodes and that parents and caregivers will enjoy helping little ones learn about the world and playing with friends through the new Tubby Playdate campaign and Teletubbies Playground Pals app.”
