Tinca and Marble infant carriers were both awarded four stars when used with their assigned base and Tinca also scored four stars when used with a seatbelt.
This is the third time that StiWa (the Stiftung Warentest group, parent of the ADAC testing) has tested the Group 0+/1/2/3 car seat category and the Maxi-Cosi team are proud of the result.
The judges were impressed with the seats’ ease of use for parents. They found them easy to fit, and the carriers were both voted one of the safest in their category.
The Tinca was voted the safest infant car seat in the spring 2021 test, with a light weight of 3.2kg. Marble was commended with the same title boasting a near lie-flat reclined position in the car of 157⁰.
Both seats also gained positive results in the Which? recent car seat testing. Tinca was awarded a 77% rating for both belted use and with the use of the Tinca base, while Marble gained an overall score of 74%.
Maxi-Cosi marketing manager, Debbie Wakefield, commented: “To have received such accolades in an international testing foundation is testament to the design and in-house testing of our car seat line at Maxi-Cosi. Each of our car seats is tested above and beyond the regulated requirements before it goes to market.
“These results confirm why we are a market leader in all areas of children’s travel. For these seats to be recognised by Which? secures this status. There is a lot of exciting newness coming in the next year to our already diverse line. We are excited to introduce more revolutionary products in the travel safety arena in 2021 and beyond.”
