Masha and the Bear attraction opens at Leolandia

Italian theme park opens dedicated area for preschool brand.

Major Italian theme park Leolandia has opened a new dedicated area for Masha and the Bear.

The new 10,000m2 setting significantly expands on the Masha and the Bear area first opened back in 2016. Notably, it will be the largest area the park has ever created exclusively for any character.

The area will include seven attractions for children and their families.

Vroom – a themed roller coaster specifically designed for children – will be a highlight, with a 350 metre track and a height of seven metres.

A water playground will feature in front of Masha’s house – featuring sprays of water, slides and splash pads – while there will also be Bear’s garden and an adventure playground. Established attractions will continue to have a major role in the new area including the Farm Theatre.

The deal with Leolandia was revealed by Maurizio Distefano Licensing, which manages the licensing for Masha and the Bear in Italy and Switzerland.

“I am particularly proud to present to the public this incredible new area, unique in the world,” commented Giuseppe Ira, president of Leolandia. “This park has contributed strongly to the growth of the Masha and Bear brand in Italy since 2016, when we created – together with Animaccord – the first project dedicated to the cartoon that became a global success.

“Now, with ‘La Foresta di Masha e Orso’ we are enhancing this pioneering concept, continuing to meet – and exceed – the expectations of guests with entertainment of the highest possible quality.”
