Mamas & Papas plans UK growth

As profits for the brand increase following a strong Christmas trading period, Mamas & Papas has announced plans to open up to ten more concessions this year.

Mamas & Papas currently has 33 stores-within-stores in partnership with M&S and Next, and is looking to expand this throughout 2024.

The brand also has plans to expand across Indonesia, Thailand and Spain, with the first stores in Thailand and Indonesia set to open in March, following last year’s launch in Australia.

The plans follow the news that Mamas and Papas enjoyed a strong trading period over Christmas, as sales in the 13 weeks to 31 December, increased by 17% year-on-year. Underlying profits were up 50% over the period, and the brand said it expects to deliver a record-breaking year of profits and turnover in the current year, ending March 2024.

Ceo, Nathan Williams, told the Mail on Sunday: “We’re very much on track for a record-breaking year. We’ve had a phenomenal golden quarter of peak trade.”
