Little Tikes launches Story Dream Machine to help early literacy

Little Tikes has unveiled the Story Dream Machine, a new portable projector which is pitched as both an early reading tool and sleep solution.

Billed as the first of its kind, the Little Tikes Story Dream Machine provides an opportunity for device-free entertainment and can be used for quiet time or as part of a sleep routine, to bring story time to life.

Available in Smyths stores, the Starter Pack includes one projector and one Fairytale Stories Collection which includes classic tales such as The Princess and the Pea, The Ugly Duckling and The Emperor’s New Clothes.

The Story Dream Machine – aimed at ages 3-6 – focuses on learning and key early years development skills. The projector engages children as they watch, listen and read along to their favourite stories, an activity that can be done autonomously, or with friends and parents. Simply insert a story cartridge into the machine, projecting the story onto any surface, and then follow along with colourful lights and sound effects that help each story unfold.

In addition to the classic fairytales, Little Tikes has also welcomed story collections from the World of Eric Carle including The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

In addition, there will also be stories featuring classic characters including Sesame Street Elmo & Friends Collection, Big Shark Little Shark and The Berenstain Bears Adventure Collection.

“Little Tikes is proud to build upon our legacy of cross-generational play and helping enrich kids’ imaginations,” commented Isaac Larian, founder and ceo at MGA Entertainment. “We are always looking for impactful ways to expand our portfolio and know that bedtime solutions are what parents and grandparents want. The new, easy-to-use, portable Little Tikes Story Dream Machine brings education and joy to naptime and bedtime, allowing children and their family members to discover and re-discover literary favourites that have been loved for decades.”
