Thanks to the lockdown baby boom, Nottingham-based nursery retailer, Little Angels Prams has recently taken on a new warehouse for added storage.
Owner, Kelly Carter, told DerbyshireLive that the business had grown during and after lockdown and she has now taken on a 16,000 square foot unit on a nearby industrial estate to house the extra stock the business needs.
The retailer saw a big rise in the number of parents visiting the store over recent months. Kelly commented: “There has been an increase in babies and a lot of lockdown babies. We’re finding in-store when we’re chatting to mums they often did get pregnant through lockdown which is quite nice.
“Normally in the baby industry you have seasonal periods when sales increase, like not long after Christmas and Valentine’s Day, and it’s actually fallen the same way when it comes to Covid and it has increased our business quite dramatically.”
Little Angels Prams stocks a wide range of prams, pushchairs and other nursery lines from brands including Silver Cross, iCandy, Egg, Ickle Bubba, Baby Jogger, Joie, Joolz, Venicci, Babystyle, Bugaboo, Doona, ABC, Quinny, Maxi Cosi, Red Kite, Roma, Tutti Bambini, Nuna, Hauck and Mima.
