The accolade puts the baby brand among the world’s most sustainable and ethical businesses, recognising it as a leader in creating an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy.
Kit & Kin’s founding principles focus on sustainability and giving back, helping to look after people and the planet. In its five-year history, Kit & Kin has switched to carbon neutral production; protected thousands of acres of rainforest; supported rural communities in Guatemala; and donated thousands of packs of nappies and wipes to baby banks in the UK.
B Lab’s B Corp certification is unique in its ability to measure a company’s entire social and environmental impact. It is exclusively awarded to businesses that meet only the highest standards of performance, accountability and transparency in practices such as employee wellbeing, environmental sustainability, and charitable efforts.
Emma Bunton, co-founder of Kit & Kin, commented: “This is without a doubt one of my proudest Kit & Kin moments. Since the very beginning, we wanted to create a brand that helps to make the world a better place, putting environmental and social responsibility at its core – which is why this validation means so much to us. It’s an honour to be a part of the global B Corp movement, and together we can continue to make a real difference.”
