IndyBest focuses on lightweight strollers

The Independent’s renowned IndyBest review column recently focused its attention on lightweight strollers, in a bid to find the best on the market in various categories.

The review looked at travel-style buggies designed for city use, or travelling. Over three months, the strollers were tested using a one year-old and three year-old child, in all weather conditions.

Strollers were graded on their ease of fold, weight, handling, look and feel, and durability. The test also covered crossover buggies, which the reviewer believed to be sturdy enough for everyday use, alongside those designed for travel only.

The IndyBest best compact strollers for 2024 are:

Best overall – Joolz aer+

Best for air travel – Babyzen Yoyo2

Best for taller parents – Ergobaby metro+ Deluxe

Best budget all-rounder – Mamas & Papas airo

Best budget travel option – Didofy aster 2
