Industry insiders reveal The Big Christmas Wishlist for 2024

Consumer specialists, retail insiders, shopping experts and trendsetters came together at The Big Christmas Press Show 2024 last week to reveal the most coveted products on this year’s Christmas wishlist.

Held on Wednesday 11 September at the Business Design Centre in Islington, the event invited over 60 brands and retailers to showcase their latest products and innovations for Christmas 2024 in front of the media and content creators.

The Wishlist Awards – now in its second year – gives insight into the top trends and products predicted to be a sell out this festive season. The winners feature new products from some of the UK’s biggest brands including LEGO, B&M Retail, Not On The High Street (NOTHS) and Dualit.

The winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges who sifted through hundreds of gift entries to select their winners. The judging panel was curated to offer a diverse range of expertise across TV and broadcast, business, social influence and consumer perspectives with judges including toys and children’s gift expert, Rosie Marshall; Retail Week’s senior commercial content editor, Megan Dunsby; plus TV and radio personalities, Kate Lawler and Ollie Locke among others.

There were 37 winners in total across 12 categories, with a number of preschool products featuring.

These included Wilton Bradley with its Pop-Up Play Tent (pictured above), which was the Judges Pick in the Budget Friendly category.

In the For the Kids category, the NSPCC Personalised Letter from Santa was the Judges Pick, while the Toniebox Starter Set from Tonies and the Story Dream Machine from Little Tikes were also highlighted.

“The Big Christmas Wishlist Awards not only showcases some of the most sought-after products on offer this Christmas, but serves as a testament to the innovation and success of leading brands in the UK and beyond,” commented Courtney Rogers, founder of CIJ Group and The Big Christmas Press Show. “It is always a privilege to collaborate with these exciting brands and retailers and I think you’ll agree that the judges have done a fantastic job of selecting the top Christmas gifts for 2024 and curating the ultimate Christmas Wishlist Gift Guide.”
