A host of deserving indie retail finalists are looking forward to this Thursday, 12 November, when they will be celebrating their achievements at the Progressive Preschool Awards 2020.
This year will see the awards taking place online as a result of the current Covid-19 restrictions, which will allow retailers, suppliers, distributors and everyone else within the preschool industry to log in and join in the fun for free, regardless of their physical location.
As such, whole teams will be able to attend and celebrate ‘together’, with no cost implications – unless you want to treat the team to some fizz and nibbles in anticipation of the results, of course!
“I’m really honoured to have been nominated and selected as a Progressive Preschool Awards finalist for Best Independent Apparel Retailer,” said Jo Potter, of Popsy & Peanut.
“We are just about to celebrate nine years of trading, which given the challenges of this year is no small feat, and we really are thankful to our customers for continuing to support us. Despite the increase in online demand, which we have also seen, I strongly believe there is still a big part for small independents to play on the high street supporting the local community and we’re really happy to be able to continue to do that.”
“We are all delighted to have been nominated again and have our fingers firmly crossed,” added Enchanted Wood’s Janie Colman, who is up for Best Independent Toy Retailer. “This nomination is especially meaningful as it has undoubtedly been a challenging year for us all.”
“Being named as a finalist is incredibly flattering and very exciting, especially given the rollercoaster year we have all had,” commented Nicola Tomkins, from Whippersnappers, which has made the shortlist for Best Independent Apparel Retailer. “I can’t wait to join you all virtually for the awards ceremony on Thursday.”
