Ickle Bubba welcomes new head of sales

Nursery brand, Ickle Bubba has expanded its team, welcoming Sam Tyack as its new head of sales.

Sam (pictured) brings some seven years’ experience to the role. Having worked his way up from an account manager to head of sales during his six-year stint at the Green Sheep Group, Sam went on to spend a further 18 months working as the sales director for the Belgian brand, Trixie, where he was responsible for launching its range of wooden toys, bags and soft toys into the UK market.

In his new role at Ickle Bubba, Sam will be supporting the omnichannel growth of the brand, focusing on the UK market as a starting point.

Initially, he will be undertaking a review of distribution and engaging partners in Ickle Bubba’s three to five-year plan, to ensure the brand is not only represented effectively, but that its retail partnerships are supported efficiently, ensuring relationships are built, taking them from strength to strength within the UK market.

“I have loved working in the nursery industry over the last seven years, so to continue in this sector with Ickle Bubba is extremely exciting,” commented Sam. “Those that know me will already be aware that I like to bring a sense of life and energy to my work. I’m really impressed with the emphasis on people here and I’d like to ensure I’m supporting this.

“Ickle Bubba has experienced great success, so coming to work in this environment, with a focus on growing the brand’s distribution and working closely with retail partners is very exciting and I can’t wait to get my teeth stuck in.”

Ieuan Rowell, md at Ickle Bubba, continued: “We are thrilled to welcome Sam to the team, he not only brings a wealth of knowledge, but a clear determination to succeed and passion for the brand. We are looking forward to him hitting new goals, thanks to his experience across the nursery industry and commitment to thrive.”

In addition, there has also been a trio of strategic developments across the rest of the leadership team. Emma Scorah’s role now formally includes all digital sales alongside marketing responsibilities; Paul Thomas’ role has been updated to include ‘people’ to make sure, as a business, it is doing the best thing for its staff; while Dominique Nicole Fennell has been promoted to head of product, tasked with making sure the Ickle Bubba product range continues to evolve in line with its core values and consumer demands.
