Hornby is introducing a new range of toy trains this summer, aimed at the young enthusiast.

Playtrains is a line of remote controlled, battery train sets and accessories. The trains will feature working lights, multiple sounds, three speeds in both forward and reverse, plus an easy to clip together track system.

Additional items such as individual locomotives, rolling stock and track packs will also be launched to further expand the play world.

The key train characters in the collection will be Flash, Bolt and Thunder, with children being able to learn all about them via the Playtrains portal.

Here, they will find fun and engaging information including a Playtrains kids zone, character stories and personality profiles, educational learnings, videos and more.
