Character makes first official meet and greet appearance in the UK.
Popular preschool character Hey Duggee has made his first official meet and greet appearance in the UK.
The character – created and managed by Rainbow Productions – appeared at Drusillas Park in East Sussex, giving out ‘Duggee Hugs’ to fans.
“The Hey Duggee meet and greet at Drusillas Park was a successful event,” said the Park’s Cassie Poland. “We were delighted to see so many Duggee super fans coming along to meet him. A lot of them had Hey Duggee t-shirts and toys which was lovely to see.”
The leader of the Squirrel Club has recently joined Rainbow Productions extensive character portfolio and the team has been overwhelmed with his popularity so far.
Georgina Huckle, creative marketing manager at Rainbow Productions, commented: “Duggee was such a hit at Drusillas that they’ve invited him back again in the summer. We’re hoping he breaks the record for the most ‘Duggee Hugs’ during his second visit.”
The lovable brown dog – which first aired on Cbeebies in 2014 – will be visiting a number of other destinations this year including Flamingo Land, Market Rasen Racecourse and Gloworm Festival.
