Green Sheep Group names new sales director

Nursery brand, Green Sheep Group, has appointed industry veteran, Brett Capon, to oversee multiple channels of the business.

Formerly head of sales at Mamas & Papas, Brett brings 30 years of sales experience to the role as well as a wealth of knowledge of the nursery sector thanks to over a decade in the industry.

The new role will see Brett oversee the UK & Ireland, while also focusing on building the brand’s export and emerging markets business. He will work across both of Green Sheep Group’s brands – Snüz and The Little Green Sheep, with a clear objective to bring new products to market and grow international presence.

Brett’s arrival follows a number of developments across the business, including the appointment of Matt Hill as product designer and Georgie Sternberg as account manager, as well as six tactical promotions within the business. The developments and growth reflect GSG’s ongoing and continued trade and consumer success.

Roger Allen, chief executive, commented: “Here at GSG we believe that building a team with the right culture, great people and winning mentality is paramount and the recent appointments truly reflect our commitment to finding the best people and recruiting absolute talent.

“Finding the right person to drive the business forward and lead the sales team was of vital importance. Brett certainly stood out thanks to his significant industry experience, sales knowledge and determination; we are confident he will deliver and support our assertive  plans for growth.”

Brett added: “I am thrilled to be joining Green Sheep Group at such an important time in the brand’s strategic growth. I have been an admirer of GSG for some time and the opportunity to be part of such a highly respected business within the industry with two iconic brands in Snüz and The Little Green Sheep is very exciting.

“I look forward to working with the excellent GSG team on our next strategic steps. We have some truly fantastic new products launching in 2022 which I am certain, based on the reaction at the Harrogate Nursery Fair, will further enhance our brand’s growth in both existing and new markets. I will be focussed on replicating our UK successes in our export and emerging markets, so I am looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
