BBC Studios extends partnership until 2020 with key toy partner for brand.
BBC Studios has renewed its deal with Hey Duggee toy partner, Golden Bear, extending it through to 2020.
Golden Bear recently refreshed its popular Woof Woof Duggee Soft Toy for autumn/winter 2018 – each of Duggee’s badges play different music from the CBeebies show when pressed and Duggee’s famous woofs can be heard when his head is pressed.
Further new additions to the range will include Duggee and The Squirrels Figurine Pack and the Talking Squirrels plush toy range, which features Betty, Tag, Norrie, Roly, Happy and Duggee. Each of the talking soft toys say their signature phrases with a gentle squeeze.
“Hey Duggee brings smiles, laughter and hugs into a preschooler’s day like no other TV show can, so it’s fantastic to be able to continue to bring such a fun and inclusive brand to life off-screen,” said Christine Nicholls, vice chairman and director of product development at Golden Bear. “The demand for our Hey Duggee toys has been unprecedented since the start of the year and especially since the World Cup when the Duggee Kick Kick song became the unofficial anthem of the tournament.
“Next year looks even brighter for Duggee as we have some exciting new developments coming through for AW19.”
Julie Kekwick, senior licensing manager at BBC Studios, added: “We are delighted to continue our long-standing relationship with Golden Bear.
“Golden Bear continue to deliver newness and innovation into the Hey Duggee range, creating products that inspire and excite little learners, and perform well at retail.”
