Golden Bear, Redan, Jazwares among delegates for Sustainability in Licensing Conference 2021

Preschool industry underlines its commitment to sustainability with support for next week’s virtual conference.

A host of companies with involvement in the preschool sector have pledged their commitment to the ongoing challenge of how we can make products and businesses in our industry more sustainable.

Delegates from companies including Golden Bear, Redan Publishing, Jazwares, Disney, Signature Publishing, Immediate Media, LEGO and Mattel will be logging in to next week’s Sustainability in Licensing Conference.

The event is running virtually across two days on 24-25 June. It follows on from the hugely successful inaugural digital event last November, which was attended by over 500 people from all over the world.

The two-day SILC 21 agenda will see insights and developments being shared by leading lights from Asda, Buyers Eye, Character.com, Dayrize, The Eden Project, Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Hannah Mills, Hubbub, The Insights Family, LEGO, Pack IDS, Recoup, Retail Economics, Sail GP, Tesco, UKIE and ZURU.

Tim Kilby, brand and ecommerce director at Character World – which holds a number of preschool licences – commented: “Sustainability across our product portfolio has been a key strategic focus for us over the last 2+ years and something that we have spent considerable time and resource in evaluating and making significant improvements.

“However, at Character World we are passionate about driving change not just in our business but across the licensing industry. SILC plays a huge part in increasing awareness and creating meaningful conversations, last year’s inaugural event was hugely inspiring, we took away many learnings and things to consider within our own business, which has been instrumental in us wanting to support this event/initiative.”

Tickets to SILC are just £100 (+VAT) and are available from www.sustainabilityinlicensing.com, or from Clare Hollick of Createvents (event support) on clare@createvents.co.uk or by calling 0118 334 0085.

As well as access to the two-day conference, delegates will also be able to check out the content on-demand for 30 days afterwards.

SILC 2021 has a strong roster of sponsors, leading brands who all share the vision. These include Amscan, BBC Studios, Change Plastic for Good, Character World, Dreamtex, GB Eye/Abysse, Hasbro, The Insights Family, Kids Industries, MDR Brand Management, Natural History Museum, Octane5, Open Beijing, TDP, ViacomCBS and Warner Brothers.
