The EN has revealed that a new European Safety Standard, EN16781:2018, has been announced for baby and child sleeping bag, replacing the existing British Safety Standard.
The Gro Company has been working closely with the relevant bodies throughout the development of the new European Safety Standard and has implemented immediate enhancements to product and packaging at the point of manufacture, ensuring that Grobag maintains its position as best in class for Sleep Safety.
“It is so important that retailers and anyone involved with selling baby sleep products, are aware that there are Safety Standards for baby sleep bags,” said The Gro Company’s Rob Pascoe. “As an industry we should be able to advise new parents on what to buy and have absolute confidence that the products we are selling are in line with the latest safety developments.”
A recent consumer survey by Native Media showed that 93% of parents would not buy a baby sleep bag if they knew that it did not meet the relevant safety standard. It also revealed that 80% of parents perceived The Gro Company to be the safest brand of sleep bags.
The Gro Company are passionate about maintaining this trust and working with retailers to offer high quality products that ensure repeat custom from parents as their child grows.
