The company’s selection of eco-friendly bamboo children’s tableware is now available in John Lewis stores across the country, offering sustainable weaning solutions to parents nationwide.
Since its conception in 2018, Eco Rascals’ bamboo plates, bowls, spoons, cups and snack pots have seen praise around the world. The range has received Gold awards from Project Baby, dadsnet, Weaning World, and Junior Design Awards. And now John Lewis has snapped up the collection.
Eco Rascals has a dedication to sustainability, right down to the finest detail. The plates are made of 100% natural bamboo, sourced from an FSC certified supplier. The bamboo itself is only cut down once an order is placed, so there is no waste.
The silicone used in the spoon tips and lids is LFGB food grade silicone, with no BPA, lead phthalates, PVC, mercury or latex. And even the packaging is fully recyclable.
Eco friendly methods and policies don’t impact the overall function, practicality or design of the products, however. The bamboo is durable, anti-bacterial, heat, stain and water resistant, easy to clean, and biodegradable.
The silicone suction bases keep plates and bowls from falling on the floor, and sturdy section walls and deep bowls help little ones learn how to feed themselves.
John Lewis will be offering – Suction plates in three section elephant, owl, dinosaur, or duck designs; suction bowl and spoon set in pink, green or blue; Pack of three spoons; and Dinner sets in three section car, owl and elephant designs.
