The new DinkyCup from EasyTots was inspired by the 1970s toys, The Weebles, and will always land upright when dropped.
As more and more parents are making a conscious effort to allow their babies to learn the skill of open cup sipping from the start of weaning, EasyTots embarked on a mission to look for an innovative solution to enable tots to master this skill from as young as six months old.
The DinkyCup features a wobble designs which will always land upright when dropped and no matter what angle it is placed down, will gently re-balance itself. It’s the first cup with an entirely round base, which is weighted to enable its restabilising feature.
Also ergonomically designed for easy two-handed grip, the cup is made extra small so that it’s manageable as a first starter cup. The DinkyCup holds just 50ml of liquid and features grippy dots and internal and external measurement guidance lines.
Helen Davies, founder of EasyTots, commented: “I’ve had the idea of a no-knock-down cup for a number of years, and got to first prototype late 2020. Thanks to help from our Dragon’s Den investor, Sara Davies in 2021, I was able to move forward with the second stage design and then mass production. I am absolutely thrilled with the feedback so far.”
DinkyCup joins EasyTots’ core EasyMat weaning suction plate products, and has already been taken on board with multiple international distributors and made Amazon’s #1 new release in baby just a few weeks after its launch last month.
