Bebecar has launched its first ever doll pram collection as a reaction to retailer demand following the huge response given to two sample Bebecar dolls prams which were previewed at Harrogate, earlier this year.
The idea first came about earlier this year, when the factory offered to make some mini versions of the 2019 range. The decision was made to create a couple of samples, which were then previewed at Harrogate.
It quickly became apparent that everyone loved them and the dolls’ prams were likely to be a roaring success. One retailer even called them ‘the highlight of the show’!
Bebecar has now put together a small range of dolls prams, modelled on the Bebecar Stylo Class pram. The carrycot and wheels are removable, the handle height is adjustable and the chassis can be folded, meaning they function much like the real thing.
“We have been completely taken by surprise by the wonderful reaction to these prams and the willingness to place orders even before the range was finalised,” said Kevin Golding, commercial director of Bebecar UK. “Dolls’ prams are a totally new product category for us, so we’re excited to despatch the first orders and are so grateful for the support of our retailers in launching these prams.”
The collection comprises of three leatherette and three fabric designs from the Privé collection, retailing at £299 and £399 respectively. The first wave of stock is due in mid-August and stockists are able to reorder until the end of September for pre-Christmas delivery.
