Brush-baby adds teether to oral healthcare range

Children’s oral healthcare specialist, Brush-baby has launched an innovative teether.

Following two years in development, the dentally-specific teether, Bobbie Bunny Teether, has been created in-house with input from dental experts and parents, to produce teething comfort while aiding oral development of all baby teeth and assisting with a child’s cognitive, sensory and motor skills.

The teether is soft and safe and made from BPA-free, food-grade silicone. The small, lightweight teether is easy for little hands to grasp, refining grip, manipulation, strength and hand co-ordination.

Bobbie’s unique shape offers ‘grab appeal’, with its ‘grip gaps’ and textured surfaces, including the bunny’s knobbly bristled ears, tail and foot pads/paws, offering many sensory experiences in one product which are crucial to neural development. The teether is bendable to aid dexterity, offering tactile sensations and opportunities for babies’ tongues to explore, gums and emerging teeth to chew and motor skills development.

Incorporating play with functionality, the unique patent pending twist ‘n’ bounce feature, (push Bobbie down and see it hop), helps teething become playtime, offering a distraction and a dual-purpose product.

Bobbie Bunny has been designed with health and dental development at its core. It supports oral hygiene and prepares gum tissue for the natural formation of teeth, massaging, soothing and cleaning gums and tongues, while also familiarising a child with early introduction and sensation of toothbrushing.

Bobbie Bunny’s features and joyful expression have been carefully considered, as research shows that infants’ brains respond more actively to happy faces which are deemed to be more stimulating and rewarding, helping with social bonding and communication.

Suitable for children from newborn to three years and designed with hygiene in mind, Bobbie Bunny is dishwasher and steriliser-safe. It can also be placed in the fridge to offer additional cooling comfort.

Launched in neutral colourways of Rose-Pink, Cappuccino-Grey and Eucalyptus-Green, Bobbie Bunny is currently listed with Boots.com, Tesco.com, Ocado and www.brushbaby.com

Dominique Tillen, managing director of Brush-baby explained: “Painful teething is often considered a rite of passage for both child and parent. But it doesn’t need to be.

“Keeping the gum area clean from bacteria, food and milk deposits is key and providing a physical stimulus to soothe and massage sore gums is the answer.

“You’re never too young for oral welfare. We believe that Bobbie Bunny crosses the divide of providing relief, entertainment and dental development.  We’re looking forward to Bobbie Bunny becoming a firm favourite in many households.”
