Britax Römer has issued a voluntary recall for Dualfix car seats sold between November 2017 and March 2018. The seats can be exchanged free of charge due to a potential safety issue, uncovered during regular internal quality tests.
The potential safety issue affects a component in these seats which was used in production batches sold between 3 November 2017 and 22 March 2018. While
Concerned parents who purchased a Dualfix during that time should be advised to check online to find out if their seat is impacted by the voluntary recall and for further information.
Retailers can reassure customers that Britax Römer has identified the cause of the potential issue and can confirm that car seats outside of the batches listed are not affected. There have been no reports of incidents or accidents relating to the potentially affected component.
Parents with a product affected by the recall should be advised to immediately stop using the product and register for a new one as soon as possible. Britax Römer will exchange the product free of charge and apologises for any inconvenience or concern caused by this recall.
