The Baby Products Association (BPA) is beginning to allocate stand space for its UK Pavilion at Kind und Jugend (20 – 23 September, 2018) and advises new exhibitors to apply for TAP Grants as soon as possible.
Kind und Jugend – which takes place in Cologne, Germany – is Europe’s largest nursery trade show, with more than 1,200 exhibitors and 22,500 trade visitors attending from 113 countries. The UK Pavilion in Hall 4.1 is the largest country-specific pavilion at the show, with more than 70 companies participating.
The BPA has also secured a 25% discount on the heavily increased media charge for this year.
“The UK Pavilion was fully booked last year and around 50% of participants have expressed an interest in returning for 2018,” said Adrian Sneyd, show organiser. “Now we know what space we have available we are able to commence stand allocation, however until we have signed booking forms returned we cannot reserve spaces. Therefore, we advise companies not to assume they will automatically be offered the same or new positions until they have returned their forms.”
“In addition, the Department of International Trade (DIT) has cut back the number of TAP grants available for all trade shows for 2018. Therefore, the criteria for allocation will be firstly to companies who are new to TAP and exhibiting for the first time, followed by those who have only received one previous grant,” he added.
“This is in line with the terms and conditions issued by DIT and the fairest way we can determine allocation based on the reduced number of grants, so I can’t advise companies strongly enough to return their TAP application forms as soon as possible to be considered this year if they are considering exhibiting.”
