Companies with exciting new baby product inventions are now being invited to enter the annual awards.
Having been postponed in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, the Baby Products Association has announced the return of its annual awards ceremony, due to take place at the Harrogate International Nursery Fair from 27 – 29 June, 2021.
The trade body is inviting entries from anyone with an interesting and unique baby product idea, including those from companies already in the sector, entrepreneurs, and college and university students. The only criteria is that the product must not be launched into the market prior to the trade show in June.
Robert Anslow, MD, Baby Products Association, said: “As a trade association, we are keen to promote excellence and innovation in the nursery industry and these annual awards encourage this.
“Over the years, we have been presented with some extremely interesting and innovative ideas. Some of these proved to be too ambitious in terms of manufacturing costs and realistic price ranges and there are always concerns about how some of the designs will be able to comply with rigorous testing and safety standards.”
The judging panel for the awards consists of a team of experts with many years of combined experience in all aspects of baby products, and they have been able to advise and guide entrepreneurs and help and support them in their journey to market.
