Reusable nappy company, Bambino Mio, is launching a fund in partnership with local organisation, Northamptonshire Community Foundation (NCF), to support local projects and causes.
The new fund has been established to support projects which help to address challenging issues faced by vulnerable children and their families, as the company hopes to help those who need it the most.
The money donated by Bambino Mio will be used to support projects which focus on tackling food poverty, mental health, self-isolation and exclusion, domestic violence, disability, new families in need and more.
One in five people living in Northamptonshire are facing poverty, with the most sever issues including child poverty, food poverty, child hunger and social isolation, which are becoming exacerbated by the ongoing pandemic and job losses in the community.
Guy Schanschieff, founder and MD of Bambino Mio, commented: “Northamptonshire is the home of Bambino Mio and we’re passionate about supporting local organisations to help tackle the challenging issues facing our society. That’s why we’ve launched a fund in partnership with NCF to support local projects that help people and communities in our county who need it most.”
Bambino Mio’s belief that its business should be used as a force for good was a key driver behind the partnership. The collaboration aims to align with the UN’s Sustainable Development goal number 1 – to end poverty.
Victoria Miles DL, CEO of NCF, added: “We feel so honoured and delighted to be working with Bambino Mio. NCF has been close to the business for a long time and we have watched it grow in its reach, mission, purpose and value. This collaboration will be a true partnership and we look forward to working with Guy and the Bambino Mio te4am in making a difference to our communities here in Northamptonshire.”
