The reusable nappy brand is offering a sale of up to 40% off its entire range of reusable products to celebrate the week-long initiative.
Bambino Mio is helping to ease the financial pressure for those who want to invest in reusable baby products this week, to celebrate Reusable Nappy Week (24 April – 1 May) with its sale of reusable nappies.
In the first two and a half years of a child’s life, Bambino Mio has calculated that 6,384 disposable nappies are sent to landfill per baby. During that period, it’s estimated that parents choosing ‘eco’ disposables will spend over £1,500 on nappies.
Meanwhile, the company says that by choosing reusable nappies, parents need only 16 nappies from birth to potty training.
Guy Schanschieff MBE, co-founder of Bambino Mio, commented: “Greenwashing is a major problem in the nappy industry. It’s well known that disposable nappies are harmful to the planet, but eco disposables that are marketed as ‘green’ to parents are just as much of an issue to landfill as standard disposable nappies.
“Once any biodegradable elements of these ‘green’ nappies have eventually disappeared, the plastic elements of these nappies remain sitting in landfills for hundreds of years.
“It doesn’t have to cost more to be green. By using reusable nappies, parents can align environmental priorities with money saving.”
